John’s personality can be summed up relatively easy: He is a people-loving extrovert. He is wonderfully balanced by his amazing wife, Teresa, to whom he has been married since 1980. They have two grown children, John and Tiffany and a wonderful daughter in law named Rae.

John grew up in South America (his dad was in international business), New York, and California, and has been in South Carolina since after college. Because of his upbringing, John loves traveling to see and study unique cultures. John feels at ease with different cultures and relates to each one to bring Christ to them.

In his down time, you can find John taking a motorcycle trip in the mountains with his wife and friends or hunting and fishing or gardening. John says, “There is nothing like sitting in a tree-stand meditating and reading to refresh the soul, or the rush of wind as you ride down a country road on a motorcycle to clear the mind and invigorate the heart”.

As a pastor, John’s spiritual gift and passion is to minister the Word of God so people will experience the grace of God and be drawn into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is his conviction that ultimate happiness and life are found in nothing else but a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and by no merit of our own. It is all of grace.

PAUL JORDAN

Paul and his wife, Vicki, moved to South Carolina in 2000, where Paul accepted a professor position at a nearby university. In 2004, he joined the faculty of Worldview Academy, serving students nationwide during the summer months. Paul and Vicki have two grown children. Their daughter, Marah, graduated from Anderson University and, along with her husband Ethan, runs a home business called Covey Kennels. They also have two children. Their son, Micah, graduated from Clemson University, lives in Texas, and serves as a missionary to the culture with Worldview Academy.

In 2003, the family joined Community Bible Church. The following year, Paul started the ongoing LifeTruth class, and in 2005, he founded the Bible Institute and became a member of the elder board. In 2018, Paul transitioned to his full-time position as Teaching Pastor at the church.

In his free time, Paul enjoys reading, biking, motorcycles, traveling, and playing games with his family. His passion is teaching God’s word, whether from the pulpit or in the classroom, and witnessing God’s transformative work in people’s lives. Paul is fully committed to CBC’s mission of loving God, loving people, and redeeming the world.

STEPHANIE CARROLL

CHURCH COORDINATOR

Stephanie and her husband Sean have been at CBC since 2003 when they moved here from California. They have two grown sons, Dallas and Logan and a precious grandson, Asaph.

Stephanie enjoys building relationships with people inside and outside CBC. She enjoys leading ladies’ Bible study, women’s groups and being part of the First Team. Her job is the perfect blend of using her accounting skills, passion for seeing the Gospel change and transform hearts and lives and helping others in very practical ways.

Stephanie loves time with Jesus and coffee every morning, reading, travels and adventures, walking with friends, laughing, having many around her dining room table and any time she gets with her children and grandson.

DAN ENO

WORSHIP/TECH DIRECTOR

Dan grew up in southern California but moved to Virginia in 2005. In 2012, he graduated from James Madison University with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies with a minor in Music Industry. Dan also met his wife, Megan, while at JMU; they were married in 2012 and soon moved to the D.C. suburbs of Northern Virginia, where Dan served as a church’s worship/student minister from 2013-2019.

In 2019, Dan & Megan were blessed with a son, Emmett. Shortly after, they felt God pointing them away from Northern Virginia; God showed His faithfulness as He paved the way for Dan to move his family and begin serving at Community Bible Church, first as the worship/youth director, and then in 2022 shifting into the Worship & Technology Director role. God has also blessed Dan & Megan with two more boys, Avery and Ethan, and recently with a baby girl, Annabelle.

Dan loves music in all forms (listening, playing, and even writing), and enjoys all things technology, including video games with his sons and friends. He has also been known to tackle DIY home- and handyman-projects, usually to impress his wife. Dan loves problem-solving and working with teammates, and is grateful for a job that allows him to use his passions to serve God and the Body of Christ!

COMMUNITY BIBLE CHURCH exists to produce genuine followers of Jesus Christ who join Him in LOVING GOD, LOVING PEOPLE, and REDEEMING THE WORLD.

We call this “BEING JESUS” to those around us. joining in his mission, working as his body, representing him well in the world.

OUR STORY SO FAR:

In the spring of 1991, Heritage Bible Church purchased property in the Wren area, one of the state’s fastest growing communities. John Barnett, who was the youth and family pastor at Heritage, wanted to pursue a pastorate of his own. It was in March of 1992 that John began the church plant in the Wren area with the first church meetings being held in the Wren High School auditorium.

Community Bible Church grew so quickly that we needed to build our own church building. Construction began in July of 1993 and continued with volunteer labor until February of 1994 when the building was completed and paid in full. With great joy and pride we dedicated the church building to the glory of God on Sunday, March 27th, 1994.

Our desire as a church is for every member of CBC to use their talents and gifts to honor Christ and be an active member of His body. It is exciting to see our people ministering each Sunday and throughout the week in the areas that God has blessed them.
