GED

GED

Free GED classes are offered to anyone in the community including Community Bible Church owners! These classes are sponsored by CBC in conjunction with Anderson School District I and II – Adult Education in Pelzer. Open registration is available throughout the school year. Under the guidance of a certified teacher, volunteer teacher assistants tutor, teach and administer tests. Class meeting times are on Thursdays at 6:30pm to 8:30pm and on Sundays at 5:00pm to 7:00pm.

To inquire about this program, potential students should contact Denise Tow at 864.616.1203 or April Zamoor at 803.603.5500 or Janice Walpole (Anderson One Adult Ed) 864.947.9311.

The work of this ministry is very rewarding as it gives many relational opportunities in addition to teaching opportunities and requires only 2 to 4 hours of commitment per week. Those interested in becoming a teacher assistant should contact Ashley Bloise at 864.448.4806 or Art Tompkins at 864.360.2249.

GED Trivia: Did you know that 60% of high school graduates cannot pass the GED? The GED is a hard test and that is why classes to prepare for it are often essential to success. Also, new data suggest that “GED graduates are in a much stronger position to compete with traditional high school graduates, especially after earning a certificate or degree in addition to a GED credential,” the GED Testing Service said in a statement.
